From the Road Part 1 • 01/03/2010
We all got on to the bus this morning and that was the first interesting bit. I think we were all expecting it to be a bit bigger! Especially the bunks, Miranda can’t really fit in hers, she’s very tall about 6ft! We’re also all feeling a bit car sick from going around the corners and everything.
I’ve just never really done anything like this before and I’ve only done an hour on the Bike and it is quite bewildering. It was quite fun but I realised that the part I doing was meant to be easy and I hadn’t found it easy at all. We have another 3 ½ days to go and it’s a pretty daunting thought as I start thinking about the difficult bits! I checked in with Sara Cox this morning on Radio 1 and the money is coming in which is brilliant so keep sponsoring everyone.
On the way back to the bus we passed Fearne riding, so I stuck my head out of the window and shouted ‘ You’ve been going downhill for an hour you jammy cow!!’ We both laughed a lot and she carried on riding very fast, in the snow I hasten to add! So we carried on driving and suddenly we we’re going uphill and uphill and uphill and uphill... and I was beginning to feel guilty and think oh my god, poor Fearne. Fearne’s last leg to the bus is up a massive steep hill!
Patrick is on the bike next and then I’m on after him in two hours, but before that I’m off to sleep for a minute!
