Big Brother is Back • 24/06/2010

So Big Brother is back with a vengeance – I’ve been asked a lot about how I feel about the end of the show and I can say hand on my heart that I am happy that we are going out with a bang and that the series is proving to be as good as I hoped and prayed it would be.

I haven’t felt a first night like that in a while – the excitement was incredible!  It felt so so good to have the show on air, to have people enjoying it again and to be back on set with all the buzz and energy.

I’m loving the housemates and what I think is fascinating is that it has only been 2 weeks since they went in and I have already been through the full range of emotions. I keep flitting from one thing to another, one day I love them all, the next moment I find myself thinking I can’t believe they have done that and before I know it I am feeling sad for them.

Last week it was the battle of the girls, this week it is the battle of the boys and it is very hard to call how it is going to go.  All of them have their plus points but at the same time they all have things going against them Dave is quite annoying, Ben did try and stir it up with Shabby, Mario is turning into a stalker and Govan needs to cheer up! It’s all going to end up with who you like because you decide!

As usual I have been frantically tweeting  - at the moment it feels that the only people that follow me love the show so it is pretty much the only conversation we are having. I am so one dimensional during the summer, even Matthew goes to bed most nights on his own and I have to creep in later on after watching and finishing the Tweet session!  He is a Big Brother widow and he is being very sweet and magnanimous about it.

Friday is going to be a great night no matter who goes I think we are in for a great interview as there is no-one I don’t care about already.  Although Nathan, who I think is a really nice guy, needs to buck up a bit – we don’t really know his personality yet.
