The Million Pound Drop Round-Up • 04/06/2010
After possibly the most tense week on TV ever, The Million Pound Drop has come to an end. Six nail-biting shows had us all on the very edge of our sofas as Davina willed the contestants to win the millions... Unfortunately none of them made it. Sisters Zoe and Lisa were the first pair to try and stay millionaires for longer than the duration of the show, but they left with nothing. Dean and Antoinette followed in their footsteps, going home with absolutely zilch. Dan and John were next up but, despite a varied knowledge, they couldn’t pull it out of the bag either! They went home no richer than when they arrived and it seemed like no-one was going to win any of the money and the millions just kept zipping down the plastic tube back to the security guard...

Will and Gemma looked like they might cry when the last of their money fell through the trapdoor and they, too, left empty-handed. Dom and Ian and Mel and Claire all went the same way – despite their enthusiasm, none of them could keep a hold of that elusive million! Gemma came on solo, but that didn’t help her win anything. Aisha and Harry were the quickest to go – they lost the entire million on the first question! Ed and Lynsey didn’t win anything either, but then along came Andy and Katy to finally break the losing streak! They became the first winners and took home a massive £75,000. Tim and James were the final contestants and, unfortunately, they couldn’t follow Andy and Katy’s lead and they left empty-handed. With masses of people at home playing online and the show trending on Twitter, it seems that we all want a second series... here’s hoping! Although could we stand the tension?! What did you think of the show? Did you play along online and do better than the contestants? Leave us a comment and let us know.
